Adult Learning Programs

There are many reasons to return to learning.

If you are looking for a learning program to support your goals, Calgary Learns funds programs that may help.

Calgary Learns provides grants to non-profit organizations to deliver foundational learning programs. Programs are for learners who are:

  • Building basic skills, up to Grade 9 or Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB) 6
  • Adults (over 18)
  • Living in Calgary
  • Facing financial barriers to learning

We support programs that help with learning basic skills. Some programs are designed for a certain group of learners:

Learning Enhanced Employment Program (LEEP)

Calgary John Howard Society (CJHS)

Have you had criminal justice involvement? Are you ready to work on the skills you need to get a steady job? This might be the program for you!
