Adult Learning Programs
There are many reasons to return to learning.
If you are looking for a learning program to support your goals, Calgary Learns funds programs that may help.
Calgary Learns provides grants to non-profit organizations to deliver foundational learning programs. Programs are for learners who are:
- Building basic skills, up to Grade 9 or Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB) 6
- Adults (over 18)
- Living in Calgary
- Facing financial barriers to learning
We support programs that help with learning basic skills. Some programs are designed for a certain group of learners:
Canadian Adult Education Certificate (CAEC) Prep
CanLearn Society
Note: The Canadian Adult Education Credential (CAEC) has replaced the GED, in Canada. Completing the CAEC tests (formerly called GED) gives adults the equivalent of a high school diploma.
